Jack and Jean Smith, Owners Jack and Jean Smith have been owners and directors of GSC since April 1986.  Jack earned his Bachelors Degree in Health & Physical Education from Tarleton State University in 1975, where he played football for 3 years.  He earned his Athletic Trainer's license while at Tarleton.  He graduated from ACU in 1985 with a Masters Degree in Education with Mid-Management certification.    Jean graduated from East Texas State University in 1976 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, and earned a Masters Degree from ETSU in Education/Reading in 1979.. Lydia Palash, LouWanna Winland, Suellen Wunderlich Lydia Palash, Office Manager, has worked at GSC for over 15 years.  LouWanna Winland has worked at GSC for 2 years, and Suellen Wunderlich for 3 1/2 years.

NAIGC National Champion on Floor Exercise!

Justin Powers has been a member of our coaching staff for almost four years now and took gymnastics classes here for seven years before that.  He is now a sophomore at McMurry University and is competing for the Abilene city club gymnastics team for his second year.  Last year at club nationals in San Marcos, TX, he finished 8th place in floor finals.  At the most recent club nationals in Richmond, Virginia, he placed first on the floor exercise and 29th in the all-around!
